Spécimen micromount présentant plusieurs cristaux de xanthoconite associés à de la proustite provenant de la célèbre mine d’argent d’Imiter au Maroc.
Les cristaux, bien visibles dans les cavités de la matrice, montrent une habitude prismatique allongée avec des terminaisons nettes. Leur couleur rouge rubis à rouge brunâtre, typique des sulfosels d’argent, contraste élégamment avec la matrice sombre recouverte de microcristaux clairs.
Plusieurs cristaux sont disséminés sur la pièce, certains partiellement inclus dans la matrice tandis que d’autres émergent dans de petites cavités, créant une composition esthétique et naturelle. La présence conjointe de xanthoconite et proustite, deux minéraux argentifères proches, est caractéristique de certains assemblages de la mine d’Imiter.
 
Micromount specimen featuring several crystals of xanthoconite associated with proustite from the well-known Imiter silver mine in Morocco.
The crystals occur within small cavities of the matrix and display an elongated prismatic habit with sharp terminations. Their ruby-red to reddish-brown coloration, typical of silver sulfosalts, contrasts beautifully with the dark matrix covered with tiny pale crystals.
Several crystals are scattered across the specimen, some partially embedded in the matrix while others emerge from small pockets, creating a balanced and aesthetic composition. The association of xanthoconite and proustite, two closely related silver minerals, is characteristic of certain assemblages from the Imiter deposit.
