Superbe micro-spécimen de wulfénite (PbMoO₄) provenant du gisement de Le Forche, localité italienne réputée pour ses cristallisations fines et très esthétiques de molybdates de plomb. L’échantillon présente une couverture dense de cristaux tabulaires à prismes courts, bien individualisés, d’un jaune miel à jaune orangé soutenu, montrant une excellente translucidité et un éclat adamantin à résineux très marqué.
La morphologie, dominée par des tables épaisses aux terminaisons nettes, est caractéristique des conditions de croissance oxydantes riches en molybdène des zones supergènes de ce district. Les cristaux, souvent légèrement zonés, sont associés à une matrice microcristalline tapissée de fines pulvérulences secondaires, renforçant l’aspect “velours minéral” typique des meilleures wulfénites italiennes.
 
Outstanding micro-specimen of wulfenite (PbMoO₄) from the Le Forche locality, a classic Italian occurrence renowned for its fine and highly aesthetic lead molybdate crystallizations. The specimen is covered with numerous well-formed tabular crystals, short-prismatic and sharply terminated, displaying a rich honey-yellow to orange-yellow coloration with strong adamantine to resinous lustre and good translucency.
The crystal habit, dominated by thick plates with clean edges, is typical of oxidizing, molybdenum-rich supergene environments. Subtle growth zoning can be observed on several individuals, while the microcrystalline matrix and delicate secondary coatings enhance the overall visual depth, a hallmark of high-quality Italian wulfenite.
