Ottensite | Qinglong, Chine - Micromount
Superbe micromount rare présentant des glomérules d’ottensite d’un rouge orangé intense, à l’aspect résineux à sub-vitreux, finement développés en agrégats sphériques bien individualisés. Les glomérules se détachent avec force contraste sur de minces baguettes prismatiques de stibine, gris acier à éclat métallique, parfaitement reconnaissables.
L’association est à la fois esthétiquement remarquable et minéralogiquement significative, l’ottensite étant une espèce très peu représentée en micromounts de qualité, encore plus lorsqu’elle est aussi fraîche, colorée et bien exposée. La cristallisation est nette, sans écrasement, avec une excellente lisibilité morphologique sous fort grossissement.
Spécimen issu d’une trouvaille récente du district de Qinglong, gisement réputé pour ses espèces antimonifères rares. Une pièce de très haut niveau, destinée aux collections spécialisées, amateurs de minéraux rares, arsenates confidentiels et associations peu communes.
Exceptional rare micromount featuring well-formed ottensite globules, displaying a striking orange-red coloration with a resinous to sub-vitreous lustre. The ottensite occurs as compact, finely crystallized spherical aggregates, sharply contrasting against slender prismatic stibnite crystals with a steel-grey metallic sheen.
This specimen combines strong visual impact with high mineralogical interest, as quality ottensite micromounts are extremely uncommon, particularly specimens showing such vivid colour, clean development and clear exposure. Crystal preservation is excellent, allowing detailed observation of textures and morphology under high magnification.
Originating from a recent discovery in the Qinglong mining district, a world-class locality for rare antimony minerals, this piece is intended for advanced collectors and specialists seeking uncommon species and refined micromount associations.
