Rare et esthétique, cette imitérite provenant du célèbre gisement d’Imiter, Maroc, présente un cristal prismatique bien individualisé, associé à plusieurs cristaux secondaires implantés sur une matrice de calcite blanche translucide.
Le cristal principal se développe sous la forme d’un prisme allongé aux faces nettes et brillantes, présentant des reflets métalliques gris acier à gris plomb. Sa morphologie élégante est mise en valeur par la transparence et les surfaces lustrées des cristaux de calcite qui l’entourent. De petits cristaux associés, aux teintes légèrement violacées et métalliques, apportent un contraste subtil et renforcent l’intérêt visuel de l’ensemble.
 
Rare and attractive, this imiterite specimen from the famous Imiter deposit, Morocco, features a well-isolated prismatic crystal associated with several secondary crystals on a matrix of translucent white calcite.
The main crystal forms an elongated prism with sharp, lustrous faces displaying metallic steel-grey to lead-grey reflections. Its elegant morphology is beautifully highlighted by the transparency and bright surfaces of the surrounding calcite crystals. Smaller associated crystals, showing slightly purplish metallic tones, add subtle contrast and further enhance the specimen’s visual appeal.
