Superbe spécimen d’épidote de grande taille provenant du Val Formazza, Piémont, Italie, présentant un riche recouvrement de cristaux prismatiques allongés à habitus aciculaire, de couleur vert foncé à vert olive intense. Les cristaux tapissent densément la surface de la pièce, formant un agrégat très homogène et visuellement puissant, typique des belles épidotisations alpines.
Les cristaux montrent des faces bien définies, souvent brillantes, avec un éclat vitreux marqué et des terminaisons nettes. Leur disposition désordonnée mais serrée crée un jeu de reflets particulièrement esthétique, renforcé par de subtiles variations de teinte allant du vert jaunâtre au vert presque noir. La matrice, discrète et cohérente, met parfaitement en valeur la cristallisation.
 
Outstanding large epidote specimen from Val Formazza, Piedmont, Italy, displaying a dense coverage of elongated prismatic to acicular crystals, ranging in color from deep green to intense olive green. The crystals densely coat the surface of the specimen, forming a very homogeneous and visually powerful aggregate, typical of high-quality Alpine epidote occurrences.
The crystals exhibit well-defined faces, often bright, with a strong vitreous luster and sharp terminations. Their tightly packed yet irregular arrangement creates an attractive play of reflections, enhanced by subtle color variations from yellowish green to nearly blackish green. The discreet and coherent matrix provides an excellent contrast and highlights the crystallization.
