Cette remarquable épidote provenant du gisement classique d’Obereisenhausen (Allemagne) se présente sous la forme d’un cristal tabulaire épais, à terminaisons nettes et arêtes très vives, révélant une cristallisation exceptionnellement bien développée. La couleur vert pistache à vert olive profond, très saturée, devient lumineuse en transparence, avec de subtiles zonations internes soulignées par l’éclairage en lumière rasante.
La surface montre un empilement de faces prismatiques parfaitement lustrées, aux reflets vitreux à légèrement résineux, traduisant une croissance lente et régulière dans un environnement hydrothermal riche en calcium, aluminium et fer. Les inclusions internes et les variations d’intensité chromatique donnent de la profondeur optique au cristal, renforçant son caractère esthétique et tridimensionnel.
 
This remarkable epidote from the classic locality of Obereisenhausen (Germany) is represented by a thick tabular crystal with sharp terminations and very crisp edges, displaying an exceptionally well-developed crystal morphology. The color ranges from pistachio green to deep olive green, highly saturated, becoming luminous in transmitted light, with subtle internal zoning highlighted under oblique illumination.
The crystal surfaces show a stacking of perfectly lustrous prismatic faces with a vitreous to slightly resinous sheen, indicating slow and regular growth in a calcium-, aluminium- and iron-rich hydrothermal environment. Internal inclusions and slight chromatic variations create optical depth, enhancing the three-dimensional aesthetic of the specimen.
