Très belle anatase de Sambuco, dans la province de Cuneo, Piémont, dominée par un remarquable cristal noir fortement individualisé, associé à une abondante cristallisation de quartz incolore à translucide.
Le cristal principal présente un habitus tabulaire à bipyramidal fortement modifié, avec de larges faces parfaitement développées et une succession de stries longitudinales extrêmement nettes. Ces striations, particulièrement visibles sur les faces principales, donnent au cristal un aspect presque lamellaire et renforcent considérablement son relief sous grossissement. Les arêtes sont bien définies et plusieurs faces secondaires viennent complexifier la géométrie de l'individu.
 
Fine anatase from Sambuco, Cuneo Province, Piedmont, Italy, dominated by a remarkable well-developed black crystal associated with abundant colourless to translucent quartz.
The principal crystal displays a tabular to modified bipyramidal habit, with broad well-developed faces and exceptionally distinct longitudinal growth striations. These striations are particularly prominent on the main faces, giving the crystal an almost lamellar appearance and excellent definition under magnification. Several secondary faces further complicate the crystal geometry.
