Superbe association de grossulaire chromifère et de vésuvianite provenant de la mine de nickel d’Orford, St-Denis-de-Brompton, Québec, Canada, présentant une cristallisation particulièrement esthétique et très intéressante à l’échelle microminéralogique.
Le grossulaire se distingue par sa coloration vert intense à vert émeraude, caractéristique des compositions enrichies en chrome observées à Orford. Les cristaux présentent un habitus nettement idiomorphe, avec des formes dominées par le dodécaèdre rhombique, et montrent des faces lisses, brillantes et remarquablement bien individualisées. Certains individus offrent une transparence à translucidité élevée, laissant apparaître une belle profondeur chromatique et des variations de teinte liées à leur épaisseur.
 
Superb association of chrome-bearing grossular and vesuvianite from the Orford Nickel Mine, St-Denis-de-Brompton, Québec, Canada, displaying a particularly attractive and mineralogically interesting crystallization at micromount scale.
The grossular is characterized by an intense green to emerald-green colour, typical of the chromium-enriched compositions known from Orford. The crystals show a distinctly euhedral habit, dominated by rhombic dodecahedral forms, with smooth, lustrous and remarkably well-defined faces. Several individuals are translucent to locally transparent, providing considerable colour depth and subtle variations in intensity related to crystal thickness.
