Superbe dioptase en gerbe, composée de cristaux prismatiques allongés à section hexagonale, d’une couleur bleu-vert intense typique de la localité. Les cristaux montrent un bon éclat vitreux et une transparence partielle, avec des terminaisons nettes à légèrement irrégulières.
La dioptase est implantée sur une matrice claire (association fréquente avec fluorite et/ou carbonates), offrant un contraste très esthétique et une excellente lisibilité en macro. Spécimen très représentatif des productions classiques de la Mammoth–St. Anthony Mine, district de Tiger, Arizona.
Excellent radiating cluster of dioptase composed of elongated prismatic hexagonal crystals, displaying the classic intense blue-green color typical of this locality. The crystals show a strong vitreous luster with partial transparency and well-defined terminations (locally slightly irregular).
The dioptase is set on a pale matrix (commonly associated with fluorite and/or carbonates), providing strong contrast and excellent readability under magnification. A very representative specimen from the classic Mammoth–St. Anthony Mine, Tiger District, Arizona.
