Micromount provenant de la célèbre mine de Shinkolobwe, présentant une cristallisation de dioptase (CuSiO₃·H₂O) en cristal bien individualisé, à habitus prismatique avec terminaisons nettes. La couleur est un vert émeraude intense, typique des dioptases congolaises, avec un éclat vitreux et une bonne transparence locale.
Le cristal est implanté sur une gangue brun-ocre, issue de la zone d’oxydation cuprifère, avec des traces de minéralisation secondaire verte en périphérie. Spécimen très esthétique, représentatif, et particulièrement intéressant pour une collection de classiques africains en micromount.
 
micromount from the famous Shinkolobwe Mine, featuring a well-isolated dioptase (CuSiO₃·H₂O) crystal with a classic prismatic habit and clean terminations. The crystal displays a strong emerald-green color typical of Congolese dioptase, with a bright vitreous luster and good local transparency.
The crystal is set on a brown-ochre oxidation-zone matrix, with additional green secondary mineralization visible on the edges. A very representative and aesthetic specimen, ideal for collectors of classic African micromounts.
